Are you feeling more anxious than normal during this pandemic? Have you noticed that you’re taking your stress and frustrations out on the people closest to you? Use this tip to help save your quarantined relationships.

Stress and anxiety are running high during this time. You are saddled with extra responsibilities, more struggles, and less opportunity for assurances and self care.

The sad truth may be that you are so overwhelmed that you’re taking your stress and frustrations out on the people closest to you.

Are you being short or unkind with your words? Is your patience running so low that you’re not able to offer grace when mistakes are made? Are you pushing away the people that matter most?

Relationships tend to suffer when anxiety reaches its peak. Unfortunately we fall into the unhealthy pattern of avoiding self care in favor of succumbing to the stress, which results in lashing out on the people around us. The saddest part is that often our loved ones did nothing to deserve our expression of frustration. They may have simply been in the wrong place at the wrong time, resulting in relational damage.

Choose to manage your stress instead of letting it take control of you.

Exercise. Pray. Eat healthy. Do one thing you enjoy each day. Talk about your concerns instead of allowing them to run around in your head. Take a walk. Spend a few moments alone.

Investing in your wellbeing allows you to better invest in your important relationships.
